In Person Training:
Orton-Gillingham 60 hour certification course with practicum.
This course covers each of the five components of effective reading instruction and lesson planning. Teachers must complete a practicum of 100 hours and receive a minimum of 6 observations with feedback.
Orton-Gillingham 30 hour course without practicum - Completion Certificate.
This course includes lectures and applied activities related to each of the five components of effective reading instruction and basic lesson planning. Emphasis is placed on teacher planning and implementation of researched based reading instruction.
Foundations of Orton-Gillingham Based Instruction
These courses are customized to address the specific needs of individual grade bans. Teachers learn the science and interventions behind reading acquisition and ways to supplement district reading programs.
Administrator Course: Best Practices in Observing & Providing Feedback for Teachers Providing Reading Instruction
This course will briefly describe the components of effective research- based reading instruction and cover the process of observing teachers using Orton-Gillingham based reading programs with emphasis on student assessments, lesson planning, and implementation.

E-Learning Courses

E-learning: Orton Gillingham 30 hour course. No practicum. Completion Certificate.
Online version of the 30 hour training. Taught by certified Orton Gillingham instructors with 100’s of hours of training experience. Video based activities and assessments allow students to view best practice examples. The course also has unit assessments that demonstrate teacher mastery of the course content.
E-Learning: Foundations of Orton Gillingham Based Instruction
These courses are customized to address the specific needs of individual grade bans (K-5). Teachers learn the science behind reading acquisition and ways to supplement district reading programs. Videos demonstrations clearly illustrate skills and techniques that teachers can easily apply in the classroom.
Professional Development Series: Subscription Based E-Learning and Video Content.
Many districts struggle to find quality professional development to sustain their Orton Gillingham programs. We provide on online subscription based professional development series that helps phonics teacher practice and build additional skills to improve instruction. The online format allows districts flexibility in when and where the trainings are presented. This series is an excellent follow up to our Foundations of Orton Gillingham Based Instruction training.
E-learning: Best Practices in Orton Gillingham Teacher Observations for Administrators
The training reviews key concepts in Orton Gillingham assessments, lesson planning, and teacher lesson implementations. Several sample administrator teacher observations are presented with critical lesson feedback.
